CONTENT
Content is King. No matter how much "whizz" your site has, if
the content fails then it will never be successful. The richer the content
the greater the chance of visitors returning. Make each page valuable.
Link whenever possible.
SIMPLICITY
Simple and short is best - make every reading minute count. Web 'surfers'
are impatient and expect answers clearly and quickly. Clear, unconflicting
messages work. Anything else weakens your chances of success. Make your
text concise, compelling and crystal clear.
COMPETITION
Analyse your competition. How do your customers perceive them? How do
they succeed or fail to solve potential customer problems or queries?
Keep their sites good features and avoid the bad. They are doing the same
CUSTOMER FOCUS
What are the 3 key facts you want your visitors to read? How easy have
you made it to guide them to your 3 key facts? Have you invited potential
customers to ACT positively to your message and become a buyer? Have you
led them to a purchase or contact action point. Don't forget to ask your
customers what they want from your website. Contact your top 10 prospects
and ask them what they would want from your site - then give it to them.
